Alexander Richard Conway joined LOpSoc in 2012 during his second year of MEng Aerospace Engineerng. Grade 8 with distinction at singing and on the saxophone, Alex played music with the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Service and Prince William School extensively prior to coming to Southampton. Since then, he has performed in 2 LOpSoc shows with the chorus and will play the role of Frederic in LOpSoc's next production: "The [[Pirates of Penzance 2014]]".

== Biography ==

Sarah joined LOpSoc as choreographer for [[Pirates of Penzance 2014|Pirates]] in September 2013. This will be her first show with LOpSoc. She once turned up for rehearsals in a West Bromwich Albion onesie, and has a real thing for beards. The biographer has a sneaking suspicion that the only reason there will be so many female pirates with big fake beards in [[Pirates 2014]] is so she can indulge her facial fuzz fetish. Thomas is currently LOpSoc's Musical Director in Residence.

== Biography ==

Born in December 1993, Thomas is currently in the second year of his Law degree at Southampton, and has been LOpSoc's Musical Director since joining the university in September 2012. He began playing music at the age of 4 and is a classically trained pianist. He is also a published film composer as well as playing the clarinet, bass clarinet and organ. On top of being LOpSoc's Musical Director, Répétiteur and Conductor, he plays as an exam accompanist, competes in mooting with the Faculty of Law and is usually found either buried in law text books or frantically trying (and usually failing) to sight read music people put in front of him. He is also addicted to updating the LOpSoc Wiki.

== Musical Director of LOpSoc ==
He took over as Musical Director in September 2012, and began as MD for [[Double Feature 2013]]. He proceeded to MD [[Ruddigore 2013]] and was MD for [[Ruddigore (Buxton) 2013]].

In the 2013-2014 season, Thomas will be MD for both shows, [[Pirates of Penzance 2014]] and [[Sweeney Todd 2014]]. He is due to MD [[Pirates of Penzance (Harrogate) 2014]].

=== LOpSoc Orchestra ===

Thomas was also responsible for reestablishing a permanent base of musicians who play for LOpSoc's productions. The [[LOpSoc Orchestra]] currently stands at over 30 members and is conducted by Thomas.
