The Pirates of Penzance was performed on Thursday 21st August 2014 (matinee) in the 21st International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Harrogate at the Harrogate Theatre.
Pirates of Penzance won 5 awards at the UNIFest including Best Show leaving LOpSoc as International Champions, which were as follows:
- Best Show
- Best Director - Jon North
- Best Musical Director - Thomas Joy
- Best Character Actor - Richard Patient
- Best Male Performance - Joe Hand
Additionally two other performances were nominated for awards:
- Best Female Voice - Rosie Bowen
- Best Female Performance - Jenny Samuel
