Jon is the current Chairman of LOpSoc and the director of the 2014 Nuffield show "The Pirates of Penzance" His first show with the society was "The Sorcerer" in 2012, since then he has dedicated himself to the society to an extreme extent.
. Overall Jon considers LOpSoc to be like his family at university.


Jon joined the society in 2012 for The Sorcerer and never looked back, he then went on to do several shows for the society before getting in the Directors chair for the 2014 Nuffield Production The Pirates of Penzance.
Despite the abundance of jokes at his expense Jon continues to consider LOpSoc as by far his most important commitment and contribution to the University and hopes that [[Pirates of Penzance 2014]] is the biggest show LOpSpc have seen in many years.  
Along the way he acted as Chairman for the society for the period 2013-14 during which the society tripled in size. He also worked on several shows with LOpSoc's sister societies Showstoppers, Theatre Group and StageSoc.
Also he is like Chairman or something...

In 2014 Jon won the Best Director award at the 21st International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival for his work on The Pirates of Penzance, which won five awards in total including Best Show, while also being nominated for a further two.
