=== Biography ===

Jon joined the society in 2012 for The Sorcerer and never looked back, he then went on to do several shows for the society before getting in the Directors chair for the 2014 Nuffield Production The Pirates of Penzance. 
Along the way he acted as Chairman for the society for the period 2013-14 during which the society tripled in size. He also worked on several shows with LOpSoc's sister societies Showstoppers, Theatre Group and StageSoc.


In 2014 Jon won the Best Director award at the 21st International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival for his work on The Pirates of Penzance which won five awards in total including best show while also being nominated for a further two.

His 2015 Production of H.M.S Pinafore, co-directed with Joseph Hand received a five star review from the Soton Tab as well as  two Daily Echo Curtain Call nominations including one for Best Director of a Musical or Opera. He received life membership in 2015.
