Phill is currently a fourth year undergraduate student studying Acoustical Engineering. He joined the society after having been impressed with the 2007 performance of [[Pirates of Penzance 2007|The Pirates of Penzance]], to take part in the [[Beggar's Opera|Beggar's Opera 2008]].  During this year, he took over the role of Social Secretary after [[Stephanie Crouch]] had to step down from the position, and later went on to take the role of Bouncer in the performance of Cox and Box in the 2008 [[In Praise of Bacon 2008|In Praise of Bacon]] review.

He also worked with [[Harry Campbell]] on the libretto for a small show entitled "[[Highborn and the Hobo 2011|The Highborn and the Hobo (or the mining magnates daughter)]]".
